DO YOU HEAR

It’s an intense page-turner.

Family is everything. Yet it can be complicated. Friendship and love are no better. Misunderstandings and loneliness make people do untold things.

The story had been nicely written. The flow kept me involved in the book till the end. Mehak did seem a bit exasperating at times, but it does portray the mind of the modern woman. Each person has a secret, a hidden story. That makes it interesting.

SYNOPSIS:

Mahek D’Souza is a lawyer working in a prestigious law firm in the city of Bangalore. She is a simple small-town girl trying to making a life on her own in the garden city, yet still attached to her family and roots. She shares her home and her life with her friend Parul Ali, and is equally attached to her cousin Elizabeth D’Counha.

Living her life within ideals and values, the powerful attraction she feels for a client Marc Travasso staggers her. Even as she fights through the tangles of her own growing captivation for him and his stubbornness to have her, she finds herself suddenly pitted as the target of abusive calls and shadowy stalks. Who is this sobbingly vicious and strangely clingy person determined to shatter her sanity? Why is she being targeted? Is it someone’s warped sense of humor or is her life in danger?

Love in all of its shades touch people in twisted ways.
